Regarding WOL issue, please gather the logs and the SPK files. I would like to prepare the letter to MS in order to try and get ERRATA for this test as we already had. Naturally our driver in VM doesn't support wake up from lan.

Naturally our driver in VM doesn't support wake up from lan. Hi Yan, Regarding WOL issue, for win7, there is another error which is not caused by wake up unsupported issue, please refer to the the DTM log details I provided in the bug description and refer to the attached of "win7-64-WoL.cpk" for cpk file for win7-64.

Hi, Vadim Could you help have a look as well? I remember I can pass this job with win7 guests some days ago. But not sure why it always failed these days even though we reinstall a fresh image.

Hi Qunfang, Unfortunately, I cannot add anything new to the Yan's comment https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=707167#c1 WOL doesn't have much meaning for VMs, we just don't support it. Best regards, Vadim.
Hi, Vadim Got it. Just curious the logs are different between win7 and other guests. So other guest failed and prompt: "Is the adapter Red Hat VirtIO Ethernet Adapter enabled to do WOL." If we ask for a erratum, could we use it to filter the 2 different failure? Thanks, Qunfang
Hi Vadim, For other guests such as win2k8 and win2k3,the DTM logs is as following: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Start Test 5/30/2011 5:27:34.036 PM Is the adapter Red Hat VirtIO Ethernet Adapter enabled to do WoL Error 5/30/2011 5:27:34.036 PM Red Hat VirtIO Ethernet Adapter File: Line: 0 Error Type: WIN32 Error Code: 0x1 Error Text: Incorrect function. Hi Vadim, Now,I still can reproduce the issue with virtio-win-prewhql-0.1-15 on Win7 32/64 guest By the way,I updated the latest Filter(08/15/2011) for DTM,the issue still can't be filtered.Could you please tell me whether we get corresponding errata for this issue or not? Thanks a lot. Best regard, Min
Hi, Yan As the win7's log is not same as other guest for NDISTest 6.5 (WoL and PM) job ,and since We do not support it ,do we need 2 erratas to filter it ? What's the progress ? Thanks, Mike
Hi Mike, MS are saying the have a problem with CPK file "OtherGuests-WoL" , could you please provide another CPK with the WoL failure. Thanks, Yan.
Created attachment 521424 [details] cpk of WOL_win2k8-32 Hi Yan, Please refer to the attachment "WOL_win2k8-32.cpk", for win2k8/win2k3 which have the same logs. Any problem with the cpk file, please let me know, thanks! Best Regards, Dawn
Hello Dawn, Although logs are the same, could you provide the specific log for Windows 2003 as well. I just want to show MS that they have the same issue on both OSes. Thanks, Yan.
