Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 707195
Missing file COPYING in the ypserv package
Last modified: 2012-02-21 00:53:40 EST
Description of problem: The ypserv package contains no file that would describe what license this software uses. The source tarball cotains "COPYING", so it should be packaged in the documentation directory, currently /usr/share/doc/ypserv-2.19, too. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ypserv-2.19-5.el5_6.1 How reproducible: Always. Steps to Reproduce: 1. rpm -ql ypserv | grep -i copying Actual results: Nothing. Expected results: COPYING or Copying or something like that in /usr/share/doc/ypserv-*; whatever upstream provides. Additional info: Please simply add "COPYING" here in ypserv.spec: %doc AUTHORS README INSTALL ChangeLog TODO NEWS
Just FYI, this is fixed in Fedora and RHEL 6.
