Description Valent Turkovic 2011-05-25 06:33:46 UTC
Description of problem:

There is some serious bug in rtorrent 0.8.7 because any webui that tries to
connect to rtorrent 0.8.7 via xmlrpc just crashes rtorrent.

wtorrent guys have labeled rtorrent 0.8.7 as unstable release.

I have tried using rtgui and wtorrent and they both crash current rtorrent in
fedora repos.

After manually compiling 0.8.8 version both rtorrent and rtgui worked like a
charm on my Fedora 14 media center.

Please update rtorrent because without webui it is less usable.

If you need any additional info just say so and I will provide it.

No need to open this bug twice. And it's not critical -- just as of F-13 or so, we didn't have xmlrpc at all.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 703432 ***

Sorry for duplicating, because I thought that it was necessary to open new one. It is easier not to do so ;)

Comment 4 Conrad Meyer 2011-05-25 22:20:52 UTC
They both have the same solution: bump rtorrent to 0.8.8. Because of that, I think they are essentially the same bug.
