Description of problem: I noticed that upstream has 5.2.2 which seems to be a much later release than 4.4.0. Since the spec file seems to indicate significant work was being done to keep 4.4.0 working, I expect there is a reason why Fedora has that version instead of the newer one that I am not aware of. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
See http://bugzilla.redhat.com/223424#c15 One possibility though would be not to package the GUI at all and just update the base package to 5.3. The bittorrent-gui package could be obsoleted by (say) transmission. I believe this is the approach Mandriva took.
The bittorrent software is dead upstream as it has gone closed source, and won't be included in Fedora 16 onwards. So there's not going to be a 5.x version in Fedora.
