Description John W. Lockhart 2011-05-26 20:37:37 UTC
[This applies to 6.0.z, not 6.0]

Description of problem:

If the openjdk-plugin is installed from 6.0GA media,
an attempt to update to 6.0.z will fail.

A variation of this problem was discussed in
Bug 678806 -- not cloned due to its length.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
6.0.z
java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-1.21.b17.el6.x86_64
java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin-1.6.0.0-1.21.b17.el6.x86_64
java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-1.39.b17.el6_0.x86_64

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install 6.0GA, including the openjdk-plugin
2. Configure RHN settings for 6.0.z

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

Notes:
Apparently an older openjdk had an Obsoletes for the plugin, but the current one does not.
