Description Rich Megginson 2011-05-26 21:29:53 UTC
For RHEL-6, we will be using the unmodified/unbranded 389-* packages. However, in the UI and elsewhere, we want to use Red Hat branding and version numbering. The plan is to create, for each 389 package, a Red Hat "skin" package which will replace the branding and versioning used in the corresponding Red Hat package. For example

389-ds-base
389-ds-base-rh # contains Red Hat branding/versioning for 389-ds-base
389-admin
389-admin-rh # contains Red Hat branding/versioning for 389-ds-base
etc.

Screens

1. On Directory Server console --> Status tab--> logs--> error logs shows 389-Directory, PFA for the screen shot.

2. Under Status tab -- Performance Counters shows 389-Directory under General Information., PFA for the screen shot.

3. Under Configuration tab --> Plug-ins--> click on any plugin, It shows
Vendor: 389 Project. PFA for the screen shot.

4. One more thing, I have noticed that when
I am opening the help--> About -- It shows me Red Hat Directory Server 9.0.0 but when I open help --> Documentation home --> It takes me to the Red hat Directory Server 8.2.

Right. That will still be 389-Directory. Expected.

We don't yet have any 9.0.0 documentation. We will fix that when we do.
