Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 708304
RFE: Fix confusing option in package selection screen
Last modified: 2011-12-06 13:45:15 EST
Description of problem: When installing RHEL 6.1, one of the steps during installation is the package group selection screens. One of the options herein is "Virtual Host": http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Installation_Guide/s1-pkgselection-x86.html I find that the term "Virtual Host" is confusing: Is this to be a virtual server, or a server for virtualizing other servers. I suggest that the term "Virtualization Host" be used instead.
anaconda gets this information from the variants list in .treeinfo, which is written out by the distribution composing tools. I don't think "distribution" is quite the correct component, but should at least put this in front of the right people.
This is from the server install class ... note that changing this changes a translatable string.
Would patching the .po files be an acceptable solution? Or will there be a translation update for 6.2?
Created attachment 519448 [details] screenshot The change is in effect. The UI now says "Virtualization Host"
