Red Hat Product Errata RHEA-2011:1743 normal SHIPPED_LIVE redhat-release enhancement update for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 2011-12-05 20:01:50 EST

  None (edit)
Description Brad Hinson 2011-05-28 00:06:38 EDT
Description of problem:
s390utils-cmsfs-fuse was added in RHEL 6.1 from bug 631546. System z users may not know to look in the optional channel for this (wasn't mentioned in the tech notes) so this request is to add the package to the default channels for 6.2 (or earlier if possible).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
s390utils-cmsfs-fuse-1.8.2-36.el6.s390x
Comment 1 RHEL Product and Program Management 2011-07-05 21:34:01 EDT
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for
inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Because the affected component is not scheduled to be updated
in the current release, Red Hat is unfortunately unable to
address this request at this time. Red Hat invites you to
ask your support representative to propose this request, if
appropriate and relevant, in the next release of Red Hat
Enterprise Linux. If you would like it considered as an
exception in the current release, please ask your support
representative.
Comment 2 Brad Hinson 2011-07-18 13:14:37 EDT
Requesting reconsideration of this request. No development effort required, just a request to move this package from optional channel into base, along with the other s390utils packages.

Comment 5 Dennis Gregorovic 2011-07-18 15:45:56 EDT
Brad, adding this package to base would require it be part of a comps group. Is there one that you would suggest?

Dennis, I would place the s390utils-cmsfs-fuse package to the Base group as "default" on s390x
Comment 7 Dennis Gregorovic 2011-07-26 11:20:34 EDT
comps.xml updated. The package will be in base in the next compose.
