Description of problem: polipo init script sets attributes of /var/cache/polipo, /var/log/polipo and /var/run/polipo and creates these locations if they do not exist. Is there anyway we can handle this more gracefully? (e.g. dont let the init script chown or touch these locations? Instead take care of this in the spec file) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): polipo-1.0.4.1-3.fc15.x86_64
Maybe even consider a systemd unit file/systemd tmpfiles entry.
