Description of problem: When opening the contextmenu from within firefox, it doesn't honor the border of screen utilized by the pannel of gnome shell Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Gnome3+shell Firefox 4.0.1 How reproducible: ever Steps to Reproduce: 1. open firefox 2. scroll arround 3. open contextmenu Actual results: the menu is placed behind the panel Expected results: calculation of menu-position should honor the space used by the panel Additional info:

This isn't specific to Firefox or context menus. Any long menu (for example, the font selection menu of gucharmap) might go behind the GNOME-Shell panel.
Same problem with exaile and calibre. Bottom panel also covers popup menu sometimes.
