Description of problem: Method to change runlevel is listed in docs as to edit /etc/telinit, but this is no longer the case now that systemd is used. Instead of: 3. Run the following command to edit the /etc/inittab file: vi /etc/inittab 4. Press the I key to enter insert mode. 5. Find the line that includes the text initdefault. Change the numeral 3 to 5. 6. Type :wq and press the Enter key to save the file and exit the vi text editor. Docs need to be updated to says something along the lines of 3. Run the following commands to change the run level: rm -f /etc/systemd/system/default.target ln -s /lib/systemd/system/graphical.target /etc/systemd/system/default.target Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/15/html/Installation_Guide/sn-switching-to-gui-login.html
Thanks for correcting this, Phil. For the F16 version of the guide, I've replaced step 3 with what you've provided and deleted steps 4-6. The draft can be viewed at http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora_Draft_Documentation/0.1/html/Installation_Guide/sn-switching-to-gui-login.html Cheers, Jack
Removing myself for these bug components as I'm either no longer involved in that aspect of the project, or no longer care to watch this particular bug. Sorry if you are caught in a maelstrom of bug changes as a result!
