Description of problem: CIFS mapchars option is not usable in f15 as described in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=706176 this has been fixed in kernel-2.6.38.7-28. Is there a possibility to provide a working kernel package in the updates repository? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): cifs.ko of 2.6.38.6-27.fc15.x86_64 Actual results: Mapchars option does not work with 2.6.38.6-27.fc15.x86_64 Additional info: I need to deploy f15 with Gnome on CIFS homes which implies mapchars. I would be happy if it worked out of the box. Currently Im using the rawhide f16 2.6.39-1 kernel.
(cc'ing Chuck) There's are a couple of patches that are already in 2.6.38.7 that should fix this. I see a 2.6.38.7 build in koji, but not in bodhi. Chuck are there plans to push that to the f15 repos sometime?
