Description of problem: xemacs display this warning: custom: widget custom-variable, option view-mode-line-string has no associated group Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): The file that needs to be fixed is view-less.el which is part of: xemacs-el-21.5.31-1.fc15.x86_64 but view-less.elc, part of: xemacs-common-21.5.31-1.fc15.x86_64 also needs to be fixed How reproducible: Every time Steps to Reproduce: 1. start xemacs 2. do something that uses view-mode, in my case use mh-e Actual results: warning above is displayed Expected results: no warning Additional info: simply adding :group 'view to the deinition of view-mode-line-string fixes it. patch attached
