Description of problem: There are a couple place meant to be examples that have RHEL in the iso names instead of the fedora names. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Don't see a version number anywhere when viewing the install guide on the web (it would be a nice touch for reporting problems). How reproducible: go to: http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/15/html/Installation_Guide/s1-steps-hd-installs-x86.html Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: dd if=/dev/dvd of=/location/of/disk/space/RHEL15.iso mount -t iso9660 /path/to/RHEL6.iso /mnt/point -o loop,ro cp -pr /mnt/point/images /path/images/ umount /mnt/point Expected results: Additional info: This is similar to bug 640271 for fedora 14
I found RHEL references on this page as well : http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/15/html/Installation_Guide/ch-Preparing-x86.html#s1-steps-network-installs-x86
Thanks for reporting this, Mike, and thanks to Raghu for pointing out the additional references. All erroneous references to RHEL have been removed for the Fedora 16 version of the guide. You can view the draft here - http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora_Draft_Documentation/0.1/html/Installation_Guide/index.html Cheers, Jack
Removing myself for these bug components as I'm either no longer involved in that aspect of the project, or no longer care to watch this particular bug. Sorry if you are caught in a maelstrom of bug changes as a result!
