Description of problem: GtkFileChooserDialog will lock up if an attempt is made to save with an empty filename. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Confirmed to occur in at least gtk2-2.10.4-21.el5_5.6. Believed to have been present in at least one earlier release. How reproducible: Invariably. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open gedit (or any other GTK+ application built with a recent RHEL5 gtk+). 2. Select File -> Save As. 3. Delete the default filename from the chooser, leaving the field empty. 4. Click the Save button. Actual results: The application locks up. Expected results: A nonfatal user error is reported. Additional info: Appears to be due to an infinite loop in gtk_file_chooser_default_should_respond(), in gtkfilechooserdefault.c. (The upstream implementation looks good, although I haven't tested it.)
