Description of problem: In file-5.05 and above for some reason lets Brother printers with CUPS driver abort the printing process with "No pages found!". Downgrading to file-5.04 makes it work again Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 5.07-2
I'm not a developer, but, as far as I know, "file" is not related to cups and shouldn't affect your printing. Maybe you downgraded cups with it? -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers
Brief look at CUPS source codes and .spec file shows that CUPS should not use File anywhere. I don't know CUPS drivers architecture, but maybe it's possible that the driver can somehow use File on its own. What printer/driver exactly do you use? I will CC CUPS maintainer to get clarification of my ideas above.
There seem to be some people expieriencing this with brother printers. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=113962 (post from stopstop) I use a Brother DCP-165C with the original LPR and Cupswrapper Driver (version 1.1.2-2)

It might very well be that some 3rd party driver uses file(1), in this case the Brother one.
Yes, you are right Tim. It was regression in latest File release.
