I have tried running google earth after installing google earth. There is no response after clicking the shortcut.

We don't have the source code for google earth (no, it's not in the goolge-gadgets package), it's a non-free software that is not available on fedora's repositories.
So that means we can't fix your problem. Try contacting google.

Of course I did not find it as listed in components.
But, it worked just fine with Fedora 14 and the Fedora 15 has just regurgitated some teasy issues that used be earlier with Fedora 12 or 13.
It wont be a bad idea to spare an effort for it.

Because its not open source and hence not shipped with Fedora. It only gets a component if its part of fedora

As mentioned previously this needs to be reported to the google earth team.

It wouldn't but this component has nothing to do with google earth. I've not even ever run google earth. The google group for google earth might be the best spot to start.
