Description of problem:
Can't install Redhat.  Tried different CDROM drives, different hard drives and 
they are all the same.  Always get this error.  It doesn't make a difference if 
I use text or gui based or whatever combination.  I always get this during the 
formatting of /.

I would recommend you try a more recent release. Red Hat Linux 7.3 is available
for free download and includes numerous fixes.
