Description tarnus 2011-06-15 14:53:43 UTC
Description of problem:

Whenever I try to open either an .odp or .ppt file with impress, either the whole system freezes or I get strange distortions all over my screen.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.3.2.2-10.fc15

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get an .odp or .ppt
2. open it

Additional info:

Not sure if there's a connection to this problem but I'm using the proprietary nvidia-driver.

Comment 1 Caolan McNamara 2011-06-15 15:55:01 UTC
There's been a long history of fedora and those drivers fighting with eachother. It doesn't sounds like an app-level problem.

The nouveau drivers are pretty slick these days, give those a try and see if they work.

Unfortunatly, that's not an option the nouveau-drivers don't work properly with my graphics card. But thank you anyway.
