Description of problem: I've tried to create a RHEL6 based live CD on Fedora 15 with livecd-creator, everything work correctly except when I try to run the composed ISO its fails with 'Can't mount root filesystem' Command used: livecd-creator --config=rhel6beta-livecd-min.ks --cache=/var/cache/livcd Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): livecd-tools-15.7-1.fc15.i686 python-imgcreate-15.7-1.fc15.i686 How reproducible: 100% Actual results: RHEL6-based live can't boot Expected results: RHEL6-based live should boot Additional info: I attached the kickstart and kernel boot output (I used qemu-kvm)
Created attachment 505524 [details] Output of: qemu-kvm -serial stdio -m 512 -cdrom livecd-rhel6.iso

The kernels for F15 and RHEL6 support different compression methods. When livecd-creator is running on a F15 system it will expect that the target is F15 or later. Try passing --compression-type=gzip to livecd-creator and see if that works for you.
--compression-type=gzip option makes a bootable ISO, thanks.
