I installed gnomad2 on the F15 machine. It is 64bit as well. With the mtp device mounted, gnomad2 would not start up, but crashed. I could start gnomad2 w/o the mtp device mounted, but as soon as I mounted it, gnomad2 would crash.
Package gnomad2-2.9.5-1.fc14: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 14 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing gnomad2-2.9.5-1.fc14' as soon as you are able to. Please go to the following url: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/gnomad2-2.9.5-1.fc14 then log in and leave karma (feedback).
O.K. Thanks for jumping on this really quick. I'll have time to do the update this weekend. I'll let you know how it works. I didn't submit a bug report for the issue with the F15 machine. I'll probably do that over the weekend also.
So, a little update...I put the testing update on the F14 computer but have not tested it yet. I also put the update on the F15 computer by typing: #su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing gnomad2 It updated perfectly. As far as use goes, the F15 version does not recognize the mtp device, however, I am now able to access the file system by using Dolphin and drag/drop maneuver. Go figure. Would be nice if gnomad2 would actually work. Anything I can do to help out, let me know. I will be testing the F14 version today and will post my general, end-user, findings.
O.K. On the F14 machine I have Gnomdad2 up and it does not recognize my mtp device. I switched to a newer mp3 player and it still does not recognize the device. I get a window that says "No jukeboxes found on USB bus". Here is the code when I run it from a terminal: PDE device NULL. (gnomad2:3063): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_widget_destroy: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed (gnomad2:3063): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_widget_destroy: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed So, I'm thinking I am missing a dependency or something because I can access the mp3 player through the normal file system using Dolphin.
