Description of problem: Bulgarian Translation not showing Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 15 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/15/html/Fedora_Live_Images/index.html 2. From languages in the left select български (Bulgarian) 3. Hi Valentin, Thanks for alerting us to this. Did you create the Bulgarian translation recently? There's no folder for it in the Live Image Guide git repo, so I'm guessing we'll have to set one up before we can publish the translation to the docs website. I'm confused by existing of two Bulgarian - bg and bg_BG [1] My translation is in bg There are no variations other then bg_BG [1] https://www.transifex.net/projects/p/fedora/r/fedora-15-docs/
At now, translations in bg_BG[1] are copied to bg[2] and bg_BG can be removed. I decided that this is the first step to resolve the problem. The second is to redirect server's requests to bg instead of bg_BG. I hope I'm right :). Another piece ... I noticed that strings I'm translating are not in Fedora 15 Documentation but in Fedora 14. I enter from "Fedora 15 (Lovelock) Documentation" https://www.transifex.net/projects/p/fedora/r/fedora-15-docs/ then Bulgarian (bg) https://www.transifex.net/projects/p/fedora/r/fedora-15-docs/l/bg/ In "Fedora Deployment Guide: Deployment_Guide" https://www.transifex.net/projects/p/fedora-deployment-guide/resource/Deployment_Guide/l/bg/view/ There is a string "After explaining how to configure the network, this part discusses topics related to networking such as how to allow remote logins, share files and directories over the network, and set up a Web server." This string you can find at http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/14/html/Deployment_Guide/pt-network-related-config.html but can't find in Fedora 15 Documentation Regards, Valentin

Hi Valentin, Sorry for the slow reply. Please file a separate bug for the Deployment Guide problem so that the guide maintainer is aware of it. I've just installed the Bulgarian translation of the Live Image Guide to http://docs.fedoraproject.org, it should be picked up the next time the website updates itself. Took me a while how to configure the guide repo to pick up translations from 'bg' rather than 'bg-BG', but with some help from the Indifex guys we got there! Best wishes, Nathan
Hi Nathan, Yes, that's good! Now I can see how it looks. But they just copied the files from bg/Fedora-Live-Images to bg_BG, I think. I made changes to the Fedora Docs home page, but they were not affected. There are other translated docs, but they does not appear. This is not the right solution, I think. Best wishes, Valentin
Hi Valentin, Each guide maintainer will need to map the bg translation on Transifex.net to the bg-BG folder in the git repo of their guide(s), and then build and install the translation to the website. Until they do this the translations you have done for other guides will not be available. Nathan

This bug can be closed, I think, but tell me please, in which file is section 9 [1] of Live_Images or how can I find this text ! Oh, this is a quite different task! I installed tx client, made and understood the steps, described in the discussion "Removing duplicate teams" in the trans maillist, but I can't do any maps on server or delete bg_BG. I don't know what kind of solution I need, but this with Live_Images is not the best. I made some edits in it, but they does not appear. Regards! Valentin
Hi Valentin, Changes you make in Transifex do not appear on the Docs website automatically. The document has to be rebuilt and updated by hand by the guide maintainer. I've been very busy recently as I am about to move house, and I will not have an internet connection for a little while, but I'll put it on my to-do list and update as soon as I can. In answer to comment #10, this section is not actually part of the Live Image guide. Several sections are standard and appear in every guide, including the 'We Need Feedback!' section. They are drawn from the package publican-fedora, which is in the Fedora repo. I'm not actually sure where the translations for publican-fedora are held (they do not seem to have moved to Transifex.net yet) - perhaps you could ask this question on the Fedora Docs mailing list? Valentin: do you still want the Bulgarian translation for Fedora 15 to be published, or are you OK with releasing just the current Fedora 16 translation that is available on Transifex.net (cf. BZ#755616)?
Of course I'm OK. We must go ahead :) Releasing for previous versions is not mandatory. Thank you!
