Can you recreate this issue on the latest 2.6.40.x F15 kernel?  If so, what is going on at the time of the error?

also, please try reproducing without the virtualbox modules loaded.
They've been known to cause a number of problems just like this.

Please try out the test options one by one. Also, which version of VirtualBox are you using?
