Description of problem: Whenever I do a freshclam, it "warns" me that my package is outdated (0.97) and should be 0.97.1. It then tells me "DO NOT PANIC" and all the updates go smoothly. A yum update never brings in 0.97.1 The closest bug I could find (in that it was the only subject that mentioned 0.97.1) was Bug 715979 - FTBFS clamav-0.97.1-1600.fc16. From this, I began to think that maybe 0.97.1 hasn't made it in to latest and greatest. I tagged it as medium as I don't know if not being able to be on 0.97.1 is a true problem ... if it doesn't make any difference, then I'll drop it to low The bug request is to get latest and greatest clamav into F14 for yum update. If there is a better bug (including 715979), please mark this as dupe of such. If there is a real problem getting 0.97.1 to work in F14 as it isn't working in F16, then let me know which bug I ought to attach to as watcher (presume 715979), and I'll close this one until getting it in F14 is a possible reality. Thanks in advance, Paul Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): See desciption How reproducible: run freshclam and yum update clamav clamav-updates then run freshclam Steps to Reproduce: 1. See above 2. 3. Actual results: Clamav barking about not being 0.97.1 Expected results: Clamav being updated to 0.97.1 Additional info: I didn't provide attachments of messages as it seems self-evident, but if you don't see the barking, let me know and I'll cut-and-paste something to attach
Updates have been submitted in bodhi, and should appear within the next couple days
Nick: Cool! Many thanks. Not having had a fix marked as "submitted to bodhi" (only rawhide for future official release), I looked online to make sure I understood what this meant. It seem clear that this will roll into F15 (?right?) but I can't see whether it will make it into F14 which, though still supported, is not the current release. If I missed something obvious, my apologies in advance. Paul
