Description nomnex 2011-07-05 02:12:20 UTC
Description of problem:

Taking a selection print-screen with the advanced selection tool is broken on F-15 LXDE

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Shutter 086.4 Rev.906

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open shutter and take a print screen using the (default) advanced selection tool
2.
3.

Actual results:

The screen darkens. No selection can be made. Shutter does not terminate. No key are operational. Shutter keeps focus. The only way I found was to kill x (Ctrl+Alt+Back space)

Expected results:

Shout works as it used to be (F-13, F-14)

Additional info:

Work around: select "simple selection tool"

Comment 1 nomnex 2011-07-05 02:43:58 UTC
edit: the work around is only partly effective!

Shutter used the "Esc" key to cancel the Selection. The "Esc" key is not effective no more with either options.

- Selection with advanced tool cannot be canceled AND it is not operational (see above).
- Selection with simple tool cannot be canceled BUT it is operational.

None of the plug-in are working.

1. take a print-screen
2. run a plug-in

The plug-in selection appears, but the plug-in window is not extended and it runs forever.

It must be related to the the same bug. Let me know if I had to open another separated bug with the issue.

I have pushed shutter-0.87.2 to updates-testing. Please try and give me report if you find out bugs. Thank you.

Comment 5 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-07 16:49:49 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
