The new aldabra theme doesn't seem to work properly. gtk2 programs still have clearlooks style elements (notably scrollbars). They just get wider then with Adwaita, but they are still blue and in the clearlooks style.

I'll attach a screenshot to demonstrate. Top two apps are gtk3, bottom two are gtk+ (well one is and the other is firefox). Neither works.

Probably not fedora specific as I've seen folks on other distros mentioning this (e.g., http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=49511) but haven't found a solution. Also, I had tried a previous version of Aldabra manually and saw the same.

Can you give the *complete* steps you followed to enable this theme?

Comment 2 Colin Macdonald 2011-07-05 21:51:13 UTC
Oops sorry!

# yum install aldabra-theme-gnome

$ gnome-tweak-tool

Select "Interface", then select "Aldabra" under Gtk+ theme.

I will go test with a clean user account just to make sure there isn't some legacy settings on this account...

Comment 3 Colin Macdonald 2011-07-05 21:57:00 UTC
Oh no! It works fine on a new user account.

I guess that's what I get for aways keeping the same home dir for years and years...

Thanks and sorry for the noise.
