Description Mark J. Cox 2002-08-20 12:09:59 UTC
Description of Problem:

http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2000-005.html

/ is being encoded as / before display, happens in
a lot of the older errata

Comment 1 Mihai Ibanescu 2002-08-20 13:26:43 UTC
we can definitely fix the data in the RHN database; what about porkchop? If we
ever refresh errata info from porkchop the changes will be lost.

Comment 2 Mark J. Cox 2002-08-20 13:32:29 UTC
What is in your database, / or a /? In porkchop's database I see a / so I'm
not sure where the encoding is coming from; maybe it is only occuring on the old
erratas you imported (which didn't come from porkchop originally)?

Comment 3 Mihai Ibanescu 2002-08-20 13:43:10 UTC
A vulnerability in /usr/lib/majordomo/resend and
/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper will allow execution of arbitrary
commands with elevated privileges.

Comment 4 Mihai Ibanescu 2002-08-20 13:44:43 UTC
we could run a script to fix this sort of problems, we've had them before. To be
identified if the fix is a real fix or not :-)

Comment 5 Mihai Ibanescu 2002-08-20 14:09:33 UTC
Fixed the description and solution fields. I can't find any other with this sort
of problem.

Comment 6 Mihai Ibanescu 2002-08-20 14:18:11 UTC
Fixed 7 topics and one synopsis as well.

Comment 7 Mihai Ibanescu 2002-08-20 18:57:54 UTC
