Since RHEL 6.2 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as exception or blocker. Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
This must be a GTK bug, because nm-vpnc sets gtk_entry_set_visibility(FALSE) and only toggles visibility if the "Show Passwords" checkbox is changed. It does also bind the "_o" mnemonic to the Show Passwords checkbox though, so maybe the IM method is triggering that somehow when the dialog is shown? That would be a bug in the IM though.
This request was not resolved in time for the current release. Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to propose this request, if still desired, for consideration in the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
