No Packages marked for Update Additional info: it's related to /run/puppet being a tmpfs filesystem... haven't researched yet what controls ownershipship policy w/in it (probably the app itself), but doesn't work out of the box...
Can you try puppet-2.6.6 from testing? We'll be pushing that to stable before too long, so what's in stable has not received as much testing with the tmpfiles.d setup. The owner/group should be puppet for that file. You should be able to create /etc/tmpdfiles.d/puppet.conf with the contents: D /var/run/puppet 0755 puppet puppet - to ensure your changes persist after a reboot.
