If I had to guess, I would say something is wrong with the notification bus on your system. The obvious workaround would be to disable notifications in the Gwibber preferences. Are you running something besides standard GNOME as packaged in Fedora?
i use Gwibber 3.1.0 installs whit yum in fc15 i change the option: (to!) do not display notifycation i see always (at gwibber refresh) in the gwibber window a error msg... http://cacn.de/download/gwibber-error.png (screenshot) thx 4 help
