SELinux is preventing /usr/sbin/prelink from 'read' accesses on the file /etc/pki/tls/certs/Makefile. ***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests *************************** If you believe that prelink should be allowed read access on the Makefile file by default. Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # grep prelink /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp Additional Information: Source Context unconfined_u:system_r:prelink_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 Target Context system_u:object_r:cert_t:s0 Target Objects /etc/pki/tls/certs/Makefile [ file ] Source prelink Source Path /usr/sbin/prelink Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages prelink-0.4.5-2.fc16 Target RPM Packages openssl-1.0.0d-4.fc16 Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.9.16-28.fc16 Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 2.6.39-1.fc16.x86_64 #1 SMP Sat May 21 02:34:01 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 Alert Count 4 First Seen Thu 26 May 2011 07:03:13 PM CLT Last Seen Sat 25 Jun 2011 11:20:27 AM CLT Local ID d464f0c0-5dd2-47bd-8b12-e56b0080ee56 Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1309015227.994:69): avc: denied { read } for pid=7615 comm="prelink" path="/etc/pki/tls/certs/Makefile" dev=dm-1 ino=132890 scontext=unconfined_u:system_r:prelink_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tcontext=system_u:object_r:cert_t:s0 tclass=file type=AVC msg=audit(1309015227.994:69): avc: denied { read } for pid=7615 comm="prelink" path="/usr/share/man/man1/asn1parse.1ssl.gz" dev=dm-2 ino=792442 scontext=unconfined_u:system_r:prelink_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tcontext=system_u:object_r:man_t:s0 tclass=file type=AVC msg=audit(1309015227.994:69): avc: denied { read } for pid=7615 comm="prelink" path="/usr/share/man/man1/ca.1ssl.gz" dev=dm-2 ino=792953 scontext=unconfined_u:system_r:prelink_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tcontext=system_u:object_r:man_t:s0 tclass=file type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1309015227.994:69): arch=x86_64 syscall=execve success=yes exit=0 a0=40e194 a1=7fff31cc3f30 a2=7fff31cc98f8 a3=7fff31cc5d50 items=0 ppid=7610 pid=7615 auid=500 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=0 sgid=0 fsgid=0 tty=pts0 ses=1 comm=prelink exe=/usr/sbin/prelink subj=unconfined_u:system_r:prelink_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 key=(null) Hash: prelink,prelink_t,cert_t,file,read audit2allow #============= prelink_t ============== allow prelink_t cert_t:file read; allow prelink_t man_t:file read; audit2allow -R #============= prelink_t ============== allow prelink_t cert_t:file read; allow prelink_t man_t:file read;
I would imagine /etc/pki/tls/certs/Makefile is marked as executables. # chcon -t bin_t /etc/pki/tls/certs/Makefile But what does # stat /usr/share/man/man1/ca.1ssl.gz
