Over in Debian-land, they have a very nice tool "aptitude" which provides an efficient curses-based interface to apt. It allows packages to be searched for and examined, selected for installation/upgrade/removal, etc. in a manner somewhat similar to yumex. It would be useful, particularly for managing remote systems, to have a similar tool for yum/rpm. If the user knows the package they are looking for, the yum command line is pretty fast, but when looking for packages or doing a variety of installation/removal tasks it can be useful to prepare a batch of actions and apply them at once.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle. Changing version to '19'.
