As it now stands, the user has to either select the username field, or press tab a couple of times to be able to enter his/her username.

Comment 6 Ryan Zhang 2009-09-05 02:02:18 UTC
Giving a patch , see https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/GUVNOR-283.

Comment 7 Jervis Liu 2009-09-06 17:04:32 UTC
Patch has been applied on behalf of Ryan Zhang. As same problem exists on trunk as well, same patch will be applied to the trunk later.

Comment 8 Ryan Zhang 2009-09-09 07:03:35 UTC
The fix are located at https://svn.jboss.org/repos/labs/labs/jbossrules/soa_branches/BRMS-5.0.1 at revision r29216, 29210

Comment 9 Len DiMaggio 2009-09-17 14:43:21 UTC
Verified in CR2 - when the http://localhost:8080/jboss-brms URL is accessed - the cursor is in the username field.

Comment 10 Dana Mison 2009-09-25 10:45:47 UTC
added to BRMS 5.0 CP01 release notes as resolved:

GUVNOR-283
The log-in dialog box's User Name field now receives focus by default when the page loads.

Comment 11 David Le Sage 2010-10-14 00:38:22 UTC
Draft release note text states:

The user had to manually select the login screen's username field before typing his or her name. The focus is now automatically set on that field so there is no need to have to select it.

Comment 12 David Le Sage 2010-11-01 01:07:42 UTC
Momentarily reopening to update release notes statistics.

Comment 17 Tihomir Surdilovic 2010-12-01 13:01:27 UTC
We have a solution but it requires gwt 2.1 (which is currently used in trunk). Production branch is still on gwt 2.0.4. Not sure if we should be upgrading gwt at this point, but if that is OK then let me know. Otherwise the upgrade should happen for the next release naturally.
