Affects: Documentation (Ref Guide, User Guide, etc.), Release Notes Date of First Response: 2009-05-08 13:35:10 securitylevel_name: Public Need to document that to add BRMS into SOA you need to follow steps similar to below, these details need to be updated to match the versions in BRMS CR1 not M3 which was the version used when the instructions were created. Copy jbrules.esb from ../jboss-soa-p.4.3.0/jboss-as/server/default/deploy (or production if you are upgrading your production configuration) to a location for backup. Download drools-5.0.0.MR3-bin.zip and and unzip it to a folder (call it drools5) Replace the following jars in /jboss-soa-p.4.3.0/jboss-as/server/default/deploy/jbrules.esb with the equivalent jars from M3: antlr-runtime-3.0.jar antlr-runtime-3.0.1.jar core-3.2.3.v_686_R32x.jar core-3.4.2.v_883_R34x.jar drools-compiler-4.0.7.jar drools-compiler-5.0.0.M3.jar drools-core-4.0.7.jar drools-core-5.0.0.SNAPSHOT.jar drools-decisiontables-4.0.7.jar drools-decisiontables-5.0.0.SNAPSHOT.jar drools-jsr94-4.0.7.jar drools-jsr94-5.0.0.SNAPSHOT.jar janino-2.5.10.jar janino-2.5.15.jar Also add drools-api-5.0.0.M3.jar. Open ../jboss-soa-p.4.3.0/jboss-as/server/default/deploy/jbossesb.sar/lib and make the following replacement: mvel-1.3.3-java1.5.jar mvel2-2.0-M4-SNAPSHOT.jar
In talking to Jarek: we also have to be sure about what needs to be done with rule services to work with Drools5 (they are packaged in jbrules.esb/jbossrules-jbossesb.jar).
Sorry, it should read jbossesb-jbrules.jar and not jbossrules-jbossesb.jar
Burr I believe this Jira is now obsolete, can you confirm and close if this is the case
No confirmation received as to whether this is still needed. Please Re-open if it still is required
Drools5 in SOA-P 4.x is not supported
