If the fields/text boxes cannot be filled in - they should be inactive/greyed out. See attached screenshot.

The username/password properties do not allow input from users. They are read only. It retrieves username/password value from Guvnor repository configuration. Have you set username/password when you configure Guvnor repository server in Eclipse?

But yes, this is confusing.

Comment 4 Len DiMaggio 2010-04-01 02:32:43 UTC
This is a minor, albeit, confusing issue. If the user has SAVED his username/password in eclipse/JBDS, then the username/password are displayed in the text boxes. But - they are still read-only.

Not a show-stopper.

Len & Jervis, I'm trying to understand this issue a bit better so I can help out Denny on JBIDE-6165.

What is the use case for when this particular dialog appears? And what are the steps needed to reproduce the issue?

It seems there are two use cases. In one, the user has saved the uid/pwd in JBDS and in the other, they have not. This makes sense, as uid/pwd would probably be better to be persisted during a session, not permanently in the workspace.

Comment 7 Len DiMaggio 2010-04-14 00:17:58 UTC
The dialog appears whenever a user right-clicks on the repo and selects security - see the screenshots attached. It's not really a functional bug - the confusion results from being presented with a dialog that appears to be edit-able, but it is isn't.

Does this help? Thx!

Still an issue in BRMS 5.2 ER4 build.

Comment 9 Denny Xu 2010-11-25 08:32:04 UTC
Len, I fixed it by setting the background of the text boxes to gray as discussed on JBIDE-6165, it means the values is uneditable. please see the comments on the jbide-6165.
