Another customer is effected by this on IE 8: https://c.na7.visual.force.com/apex/Case_View?id=500A0000007rhSC I'm not sure why this bug is filed for 5.0.2, both linked support cases are for 5.1.0 Also bug 727694 seems to suggest working sets do work at all for 5.1.
Jason, it is probably a bug when was migrated from Jira to BZ. The original issue tracker has: "Affects Version/s: 5.0.2, 5.1.0 GA, BRMS 5.2.0.GA" https://issues.jboss.org/browse/BRMS-540 I am not sure if it was reported to someone. I will check.

Re-set suggested release to BRMS5.3, reset 3 ack flags to reposition for next round.
I found that this works in OK in BRMS-5.2.0.ER3, using IE 8. I suggest that we remove BRMS 5.2 from the affects list.
Jason, this issue case is only about IE 6 and 7. I am not sure using IE 8.
Has been fixed on 5.3.x branch. Verified with IE7.
