Description of problem: When I select to edit my email account in Evolution's preferences, the window is too large to fit the "ok" and "cancel" buttons. Therefore, I cannot click them to save any changes to my preferences (unless I use the system display preferences and temporarily rotate the screen 90 degrees.) My screen size is 1366 x 768 pixels. This was not a problem when I created my account to use IMAP+. When I switched to IMAP, the space between the dialogs and options expanded greatly, increasing the size of the window. Also, some of the preferences don't fit on that window. I can close the window by hitting esc or enter if I have not made any changes to the preferences, thereby removing focus from those buttons. Also, switching back to IMAP+ reverses the effect, but the server I connect to requires IMAP for the connection type to operate fully. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.0.2 How reproducible: It happens every time I open the Account Editor for that account. Steps to Reproduce: 1. (optional?) Create an account using the IMAP+ protocol. 2. Open preferences window. 3. Choose to edit the mail account. 4. Change "Server Type" under "Receiving Email" tab to IMAP. 5. Observe change in window size and option spacing. Actual results: Window is too large to click the close buttons or to change some options Expected results: Expect options to be spaced reasonably from one another, like in the IMAP+ layout format, and for the window to fit on my screen, or to be scrollable. Additional info: N/A
Thanks for a bug report. Your observation about IMAP+ and IMAP difference is correct, this happens only with IMAP provider. It was fixed recently, in an upstream bug [1]. The fix will be included in 3.0.3+ of evolution. [1] https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=653008
