Description Steve Fox 2002-08-26 11:45:03 EDT
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 Galeon/1.2.5 (X11; Linux i686; U;) Gecko/20020809

Description of problem:
The Listen directive is not added to httpd.conf when setting up a port based
virtual host.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new virtual host
2. Select 'Default Virtual Host' under Host Information
3. Add port 81 for 'All requests on port:'
4. Save changes, restart httpd.

Actual Results: Telneting to port 81 on localhost says access is denied.

Expected Results: The tool should have added:

Listen *:81

to httpd.conf but it did not. Adding this manually fixes the problem.

Additional info:

I just figured out that you need to add the port manually on the "main" tab. It
would be nice if the virtual host editor would do this for you.

Also, I noticed that when I added the second port to the main tab, it did not
include a new line in the config file. So the line looked like:

Listen *:80 Listen *:81

which threw an error when I restarted Apache.
