To allow easy access to install and update drivers without requiring MSI installer to be run please add Spice qxl drivers to the virtio-win RPM.
I believe this was done already, moving to on_qa
Verified on virtio-win-1.4.0-1.el6.noarch steps: 1.rpm -ivh virtio-win-1.4.0-1.el6.noarch 2.mount -o loop /usr/share/virio-win/virtio-win.vfd /opt 3. #find /opt/ -name qxl.sys Acturl Results: the output is : /opt/i386/Win7/qxl.sys /opt/i386/WinXP/qxl.sys /opt/amd64/Win7/qxl.sys Based on above ,this issue has been fixed .move status to VERIFIED.
Technical note added. If any revisions are required, please edit the "Technical Notes" field accordingly. All revisions will be proofread by the Engineering Content Services team. New Contents: Previous versions of virtual floppy disk image have no qxl driver included. As the result, it was not possible to install qxl driver from the same installation media as virtio network and/or block drivers. In 6.2 qxl drivers were added to the virtio-win installation media. Which makes it is possible to install and update qxl drivers without requiring MSI installer.
