Description Michael Lampe 2011-08-01 19:25:37 UTC
Description of problem:

grayed out menu items are really grayed out: with a solid grey rectangle ...

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

ddd-3.3.11-14.el5.4

How reproducible:

Always

Additional info:

Linking against libXm.so.3 (the old version) solved it -- unfortunately this cannot be done on el5 because the devel files are missing.

Any idea or interest in solving this?

(The epel binary of ddd ist now pointless -- I'd rather delete it.)

Comment 1 Gwyn Ciesla 2011-08-08 16:25:02 UTC
I think it just needed a rebuild, against the updated openmotif. Try what's in koji here:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=257654

If it works, I'll push an update.

Comment 2 Michael Lampe 2011-08-08 17:11:36 UTC
That unfortunately doesn't help.

What did help was to build against openmotif-2.2.3. But el5 only has the runtime. So I rebuilt on el4 and installed the rpm on el5. That works, but I guess this is not an acceptable solution for epel.

Comment 3 Gwyn Ciesla 2011-08-08 17:21:00 UTC
Does using the koji build but installing openmotif-devel help?

Comment 4 Michael Lampe 2011-08-08 17:22:27 UTC
No. I tried it, of course.

Comment 5 Michael Lampe 2011-08-08 17:24:05 UTC
I mean, I tried your new rpm. And the devel files are installed anyway, because I've experimented with rebuilding myself.

Comment 6 Michael Lampe 2011-11-14 18:16:17 UTC
Redhat fixed it with an openmotif update:

http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2011-1451.html

Works fine again. No rebuild necessary.

Excellent!
