Red Hat Product Errata RHEA-2012:0583 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE new packages: aeolus-conductor 2012-05-15 22:31:59 UTC

Description james labocki 2011-08-01 19:49:34 UTC
Description of problem:
rhevm_deltacloud_username and rhevm provider username in aeolus-conductor UI use different formats.

in /etc/aeolus-configure/nodes/default_configure the format of rhevm_deltacloud_username is username@DOMAIN, while admin as https://www.aeolusproject.org/redmine/projects/aeolus/wiki/RHEV-M_Setup mentioned (no .com). However, when adding a provider account in aeolus-conductor interface the format is username.

In Summary:

/etc/aeolus-configure/nodes/default_configure
rhevm_deltacloud_username: username@DOMAIN

aeolus-conductor provider account setup
username: username

This is confusing. It might make sense to document the difference in format really well or just adopt one over the other throughout both projects to make it easier on the end user.

QE agrees

Comment 2 Richard Su 2011-09-12 23:39:52 UTC
Format is the same. Updated wiki page.

Comment 3 Aziza Karol 2011-09-20 10:36:38 UTC
/etc/aeolus-configure/nodes/rhevm
# rhevm_deltacloud_username: username@fqdn

aeolus-conductor provider account setup
username: username@fqdn

(ie with FQDN, like admin)
