Description David Egts 2011-08-02 00:42:57 UTC
Description of problem:

Volume up/volume down/mute buttons (Fn + F11/F12/F10) don't adjust audio on ASUS Eee PC 1015PE.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

gnome-media-2.29.91-6.el6.x86_64

How reproducible:

100%. Tried on two systems of the same make and model. Observed identical behavior on both.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log into system with GNOME desktop.
2. Press Fn key with F10 (mute volume) or F11 (volume down) or F12 (volume up).

Actual results:

Volume isn't adjusted.

Expected results:

Volume gets adjusted as desired.

Additional info:

- This behavior works just fine with RHEL 6.1 on other makes and models. Lenovo T60p, T500. ASUS Eee PC 1008HA.

- Fn with other things work fine. Fn + F7 blanks screen. Fn + F5/F6 dim and brighten the screen.

- Function keys by themselves work fine (e.g., F11 toggles Firefox full screen mode w/no problem).
