Additional info: Hdparm and dmidecode is not working. Can't install DSA since it is old server. Not supported by IBM support.
I don't know, if it works on RHEL-2.1, but a short google search reveiled this: # lscfg -vp -l <device name> http://linux-diag.sf.net/Lsvpd.html Component "diskcheck" is not responsible for this job.
