Description Mike Cressman 2011-09-02 14:54:04 UTC
Feature Request:

Customer requests the following enhancements to topic addressing to match legacy system they are replacing with MRG Messaging:

1. Allow wildcards when specifying which topic to send to.

For example, if existing topics were named a.b.c, a.b.d, and a.b.e,
sending to a.b.* would send to all three.

2. Allow wildcards to match a subset of the string within a delimited part of the address when subscribing.

For example, assuming topics ab.cd and ab.cdef, subscribing to ab.cd* would subscribe to both.

Nack-ing this issue for now.

This feature is not currently on the roadmap. It is technically complex and runs the risk of being a performance bottleneck.

Product Management input is needed to investigate the value and priority of this feature.
