Expected results: Name : aspell-devel Relocations: (not relocatable) Version : 0.60.3 Vendor: Red Hat, Inc. Release : 11 Build Date: Mon 12 Sep 2011 06:55:09 PM CEST Install Date: (not installed) Build Host: x86-007.build.bos.redhat.com Group : Development/Libraries Source RPM: aspell-0.60.3-11.src.rpm Size : 51642 License: LGPL Signature : (none) Packager : Red Hat, Inc. <http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla> URL : http://aspell.net/ Summary : Libraries and header files for Aspell development Description : Aspell is a spelling checker. The aspell-devel package includes libraries and header files needed for Aspell development. Additional info: This bug doesn't occur in RHEL-6 or Fedora. Expected result is taken from the same command (rpm -qip) on RHEL-6. Rebuild of rpm database and indexes didn't help. Behaviour is the same even the package is installed and only rpm -qi command is used.
One of the rpm top FAQ's, this... In RHEL-5 the group, summary and description are coming from specspo even for English. The system was changed somewhere around Fedora 9, but changing it for RHEL 5 at this point is not feasible. To update any of the tree, specspo update is needed. Alternatively 'rpm -e specspo' to see the actual data from headers instead of what was at some point stored into specspo.
