RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Satyabrata Maitra 2011-09-14 04:49:38 UTC
Description of problem:
in RHEL6.2 bn_IN locales, when user wants to save any file, either oowriter, oocalc or ooimpress, the translation for "Discard" and "Cancel" button's translation are same in the dialog box.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
openoffice.org-core-3.2.1-19.6.el6_0.5

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login to RHEL6.2 workstation with bn_IN locale
2. Open oowriter, oocalc or ooimpress, write something
3. Try to save or quit
4. Observe the dialog box appears for the Save, discard, or cancel File
5. Observe the Translation of Discard and Cancel Button.

Actual results:
Actually the Discard button is translated wrongly, can create confusion with Cancel button.

Expected results:
Both te button should me meaningfully translated.

Comment 3 David Tardon 2011-09-14 06:31:46 UTC
Reported upstream. That's probably all we can do with that.

Comment 4 Caolan McNamara 2011-09-14 08:49:59 UTC
I have many skills, Bengali translation is not one of them :-)

I'll reassign this to ankit seeing as that's where the other Indic (etc.) translations issues ended up.

Comment 5 Ankit Patel 2011-09-14 09:11:33 UTC
Hi Runa,

Can we do something about this bug?

Thanks!
Ankit

Comment 6 Runa Bhattacharjee 2011-09-14 09:35:38 UTC
I'll check with the upstream translators/coords and see if I can change it. Should be easily done on pootle.

Comment 7 Runa Bhattacharjee 2011-09-20 06:23:37 UTC
The translation for the 'Discard' button ought to read as 'বর্জন' . Can this be changed via a patch? The upstream coords are not responding at the moment.

Comment 10 Caolan McNamara 2012-02-08 10:10:13 UTC
text for discard *looks* to me like comment #7 in 3.4.5 bn_IN, so I think we get this for free in re-base to libreoffice
