Description of problem:
I tried doing a sync - the sync failed (my version of grinder was apparently not upgraded as part of the pulp yum update).  I fixed grinder and then tried again and the sync started.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Katello Version: 0.1.84-1.git.26.51fa1e1.fc14 

How reproducible:
Somewhat hard :) You need to break/fix sync to see the bug, but I imagine that getting the error is quite possible and should be addressed.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Pulp 235 with Grinder 110
2. Do a sync in katello ui
3. Check log/repo status in pulp
4. Upgrade grinder to 118
5. Try syncing in ui again.
  
Actual results:
"Error Syncing" with progress bar underneath.

Expected results:
"Error Syncing" goes away when a new sync starts.

jrist and i discussed this one. he did not realize he was looking at product sync status vs repo sync status.
