Description of problem: The installation of the ABRT from the live-cd is missing additional packages that are helpful for problem analyse. These packages enable to use retrace server instead of installation of 1.5 GB of additional packages. It enables further functionality as well. These packages are about few kB of data and they should be included on the live-cd. The packages are: abrt-cli abrt-retrace-client libreport-cli libreport-plugin-mailx libreport-plugin-reportuploader libtar mailx Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 16 Beta (up-to-date) How reproducible: When one want to report a ABRT report, you don't have much options how to do that with current ABRT installation. You are asked to download additional 0.5 GB of packages with total installation of 1.5 GB. This is nonsense if the live-cd can contain additional few hunderts of kB of packages that will provide all the needed support. Moreover the beginners do not know which packages can be installed to get required function or to avoid 0.5 GB of additional download. Actual results: ABRT dosn't contain full set of features that's able to offer. Expected results: Add missing packages on live-cd to get these functions. The amount of data is small and can be stored on the live-cd
Agreed, I will add abrt-retrace-client as a dependency to abrt-desktop, but the rest doesn't seem so useful.
(In reply to comment #1) Thanks a lot for your reply. Yes, you're right. I have tested it now and the retrace client is all I needed for successful bug reporting.
