Hi Guys, I am coming from the "Community": Scientific Linux 6.1 x64. $ rpm -q -f gnome-volume-control gnome-media-2.29.91-6.el6.x86_64 When firing up gnome-volume-control, a pop up gives the following error: "waiting for sound system to respond" This is caused by two missing dependancies in the RPM: pulseaudio-0.9.21-13.el6.x86_64.rpm rtkit-0.5-1.el6.x86_64.rpm Which does fix the problem. Would you fix these missing dependancies in the RPM to keep the next guy from tearing his hair out? Many thanks, -T

Can the reporter indicate if this issue still exists for them? I have tried to reproduce under SL 6.5 and CentOS 6.5 without success.
I am no longer having the problem either. Thank you!
