Description Pierre-Luc 2011-10-07 15:38:13 UTC
Description of problem:when I start up the installation of fedora 15 everything goes find until I got error message told me my chipset intel p68 is not recognize and fedora install cannot continue plus I got commande line only after that part. I'm not a strong linux user, I still need my firefox and google to assist me with any trouble and now it's why I report that bug to assist anyone who have a recent setup and want to be free of Microsoft OS

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
intel chipset p68 on the asus board P8P67 LE

How reproducible:
try twice then three times but still want me to downgrade my pc component.
Just try it with the same board

Steps to Reproduce:
1.from downloaded iso, burn on dvd, launch install
2.let it install automaticly by default
3.after the loading screen when we see the fedora tag filling up it show me in the left corner the result and why it is stopping the install process then let me with the command line but I really don't know what I can do at that step, no one have the same issue than me on the web

Actual results:
no fedora installing

Expected results:
be able to install THE GREAT FEDORA and try it for real

What is the *exact* error message? (Please copy it as accurately as possible.)

Comment 2 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-07 14:51:21 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
